Who is this course for?
The Rope Rescue Advanced course is the third and highest International Technical Rescue Association (ITRA) rope qualification. This course is designed to train rope technicians to a specialised level. This course takes your rope knowledge, skill set, and understanding of physics beyond level 2 training. The advanced course is for those seeking to be team leaders, rope leads for complex technical rescues, lead riggers, and anyone who wants to take their rope skills further.
This course is also a pre-requisite for anyone looking to become an ITRA Instructor.
Prerequisites
Course participants must be a minimum of 18 years old and medically fit and healthy. Learners on this course must provide evidence of Level 2 Rope Rescue Technician level skills. Learners will also be required to provide proof of identity at the start of their training.
Content
The course covers a range of skills such as highlines, off sets and artificial high directionals. The course content meets and/or exceeds that of the "UKFRS Supervisor Level" and "NFPA 1006 Technician".
Your course will be delivered by experienced and highly qualified emergency professionals with extensive experience in the emergency services or industrial emergency response sector. You will be taught the latest techniques with a range of the most up to date equipment from various manufacturers.
Assessment
The last day of the course is an evaluation of your skills by an ITRA assessor.
Certification
On successful completion you will receive an International Technical Rescue Association (ITRA) qualification.
